Discover our DTF transfer powder!
You can use our powder with all DTF printers that use DTF inks and transfer films. It is a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) hot melt adhesive powder specially formulated for DTF.
Black powder is particularly useful for application on black textiles. This prevents any excess powder from leaving marks on your fabric during the transfer process.
How do you use hot melt powder?
DTF transfers are performed using DTF transfer films and DTF transfer powder.
First, print using your compatible DTF or DTG printer with textile ink or DTF ink onto sheets or rolls of DTF film.
Then, coat your print with the DTF transfer powder.
Next, dry the powder at 120°C for 90 seconds. For the drying stage, you can use a heat press, a screen printing tunnel, a screen printing intermediate dryer, a drying oven, or a conventional oven.
Finally, apply your transfer to your fabric at 150°C for 8 to 10 seconds using a cold peel.
You can:
- For your white or light-colored textiles: print only your colors
- For your dark textiles: you must print a white underlayer first, then your colors
What are the advantages of DTF (Direct to Film)?
Direct-to-Fly (DTF) transfers onto both light and dark fabrics thanks to the white inks applied as an underlayer.
DTF produces a breathable, smooth-to-the-touch, and more stretchy transfer.
DTF does not require cutting the image onto the transfer.
DTF allows for vibrant colors.
The pressing conditions for your transfer are 160°C-180°C for 10 to 15 seconds, cold peel.
The powder can be stored in a dry place for up to 2 years. It gives your transfer excellent wash resistance (up to 90°C).
