Buyer's Guide
Lifespan, intended use (indoor/outdoor) and mounting surface are the three determining criteria in choosing an adhesive vinyl.
Technical advice
Whether you apply it dry or wet, on glass, bodywork or panel, a few basic rules guarantee a professional result without bubbles or premature peeling.
Thoroughly clean the surface with a degreaser. A clean, dry, and dust-free surface is the number one condition for a successful installation.
Dry application is recommended for small formats. Wet application (with application liquid) facilitates repositioning on large surfaces and glass.
A flexible squeegee for flat surfaces, a felt squeegee for delicate surfaces (lacquered bodywork). Scrape from the center outwards to remove air.
Apply between 15°C and 25°C. Below 10°C, the adhesive loses its effectiveness. When applying to curved surfaces, use a heat gun to soften the vinyl.
For digital prints, apply a lamination film to protect your print from UV, moisture, and friction.
Our technical team is available Monday to Friday, 9:30am–12:30pm and 2pm–6pm to advise you on choosing the vinyl best suited to your project.
Frequently Asked Questions
Monomeric vinyl is manufactured by calendering: it is less flexible, suitable for flat surfaces, and has a lifespan of 3 to 5 years. Polymeric vinyl contains plasticizers that make it more flexible, dimensionally stable, and UV-resistant for 8 to 10 years. It is recommended for curved surfaces, vehicles, and long-term outdoor applications.
For professional vehicle wrapping, cast vinyl is the gold standard: it perfectly conforms to the complex shapes of the bodywork, doesn't shrink over time, and offers a lifespan of 10 years or more. For partial graphics (logo, text) on flat areas, 8-10 year polymeric vinyl is sufficient and more economical.
For all outdoor applications, lamination is highly recommended. A lamination film protects the print from UV rays (which fade solvent and eco-solvent inks), moisture, and friction, and facilitates cleaning. Glossy, matte, and satin laminations are available depending on the desired finish.
Créadhésif vinyl color charts showcase the available colors on physical samples, accurately representing the shade, finish (glossy, matte, satin, metallic), and transparency. They allow you to confirm your choice before ordering by the roll and avoid any unpleasant surprises upon delivery.
Our inks are categorized by plotter brand and model: Roland, Mimaki, and Mutoh for solvent and eco-solvent inks, and Epson for sublimation. Each product page details the compatibility list.
