What is sublimation?
Sublimation is the simplest and most effective technique for transferring high-quality photos or images onto a wide variety of materials. It is a printing technique that requires very specific inks.
It consists of just a few steps and is suitable for a wide range of polyester or cotton materials, while also allowing for some creativity.
We're used to the idea that producing one item at a time is always more expensive than producing large volumes. Today, new technologies for personalizing objects and textiles have changed the game. Large volumes no longer necessarily mean low costs. Thanks to sublimation printing, it's now possible to find a cost-effective solution for production runs of any size, whether small, medium, or large.
This article details the cost of printing on polyester and cotton sublimation, both with and without equipment depreciation. Discover how much it will cost to print or personalize a t-shirt.
The costs given in this article are an estimate, so some costs are subject to change.
Production costs
The purpose of these fact sheets is to provide you with a cost estimate framework to help you assess the feasibility of your creative projects. They are not exhaustive and can be adapted to your needs, equipment, and requirements. If you have additional expenses, you can certainly add them to this calculation base (labor, software, various accessories, etc.). Similarly, if your costs are lower than those listed, such as textile materials, you can adjust the costs shown in the table.
These sheets provide a foundation upon which you can build to explore your creative ideas.
Let your imagination run wild and build a project that reflects who you are :)
