Direct-to-Fly (DTF) Pressing Conditions:
The Complete Guide to a Perfect Transfer

DTF printing leaves nothing to chance. Master heat, time, and pressure to transform every textile into a durable, professional piece.

📏 Technical Precision | 🚀 Pro Results
1

Position your design precisely

Place your transfer on a flat surface. For complex items (caps, bags), it is essential to use heat tape (high-temperature tape) to secure the film.

💡 Pro Tip: Work with the garment collar facing you for a more intuitive and geometric visual alignment.

Textile pressing parameters

🧵 Pure Cotton

  • Heat: 160°C
  • Duration: 12 seconds
  • Peeling: Cold (Recommended)

👕 Polyester / Synthetic

  • Heat: 130°C
  • Duration: 20 seconds
  • Warning: Do not exceed 130°C (risk of migration)

Easy Peel & Final Pressing

⚡ The technique: Remove the film with a smooth motion. If any part of the design remains on the film, stop immediately! Reposition, increase the temperature by +8°C, and press again.

✔ Secure pressing: Once the film is removed, press for an additional 15 seconds with a finishing sheet. This ensures excellent wash resistance and an extra-soft feel.

💬 Your questions about pressing

My fabric is burning or staining, what should I do?
First, reduce the pressure on your press. If the mark persists, lower the temperature by 5 to 8°C and compensate by increasing the pressing time by 5 seconds.
Does DTF work on caps?
Absolutely! DTF is ideal for caps because it conforms to the curves. Use a suitable cap press and heat-shrink tape to ensure the film stays perfectly in place during heating.
